Rust Manor House | Slate Blue and Gold | Leesburg, Virginia

Historic Rust Manor House is a lovely venue that provides great indoor and outdoor locations.  For Meghan and Kevin’s Wedding Day, we were forced inside due to the rainy weather.  The Venue was still able to accommodate the wedding guests with plenty of space to see the Ceremony followed by Cocktail Hour.

Family Formals and Bridal Party Portraits were taken on the covered back porch and everyone was able to stay dry, except me.  But I wasn’t being photographed.  🙂  Thankfully their Coordinator, Tara Staley of Creative Inspirations held a large umbrella over both of us as we braved the rain.  But we were able to efficiently shoot all we needed  and none of the guests needed to get out into the elements.

Meghan designed much if not all of the Reception decorations herself.  Simply, yet elegant, decor along with the white tablecloths and white tent, just made everything look beautiful and glowy. It rained the rest of the day and at the end of the evening I asked if they would brave the rain with an umbrella for 5 minutes and they did!  I just love this final shot.  Thank you for trusting me to document your wedding and get a little rained on.
