How good is your memory? The older I get the worse mine gets. My kids ask me all the time, “Do you remember…?” and I have to honestly tell them “no”.
So instead of reaching for the latest supplement to help my memory, I’ve just decided to print my memories instead. Actually, I’ve been doing this for about 5 years. When we go to Disney World or if my kids have a big game, I usually have my camera with me. So at the end of the year I gather up all those “memories” and decide how many to print and hang on my wall. And the ones that don’t make that list usually get printed into a book anyway.
I love the way it makes me feel when I walk by them. It reminds me of how much excitement was in that moment. We’ve experienced some loss in the last year and sometimes I shed a tear when I walk by their photo. The best of all is when I hear my kids talk about that “Memory” hanging on the wall.
If you could wrap up all the moments from the past year, what would make your list? I bet you did some amazing things and would want to be reminded of those feelings. If you haven’t, I would love to help you with that. Every outing with my husband or kids is worth remembering. Let’s schedule an event for you. It can be an Engagement (or Proposal!) or an adventure like picking apples.
